Rules for the ruled…

In today’s political climate, it is hard for many of us to look at a situation or decision and see the act for the act, without assuming an ulterior motive or dark purpose.  Particularly in politics, the lines of fact and perception get skewed quite easily.  Emotion has a funny way of convincing us that perception is reality, which has a large element of truth.

One area which is particularly hard to swallow is the use of “rules”.  Rules are simply interpretations of existing laws.  The Executive branch is not charged with creating laws, that is Congress’ job.  In the current environment, the Biden administration tends to favor “rule interpretation” since it can’t pass laws.  However, in the recent announcement of the DOJ’s new proposed rule which seeks to impose more mandates on FFL dealers, it is hard to see any way that this is anything other than a political move.  The mandates themselves have no way to quantify their achieved goal of saving lives, nor accomplishing anything short of imposing more restrictions on legal businesses which happen to be out of political favor in the moment.

Politics has a way of interfering with the Natural Rights of a citizenry and given all the “happenstances” of the politics of the moment, I will leave the political analysis to my previous video here.  I will now show how these rules will have a negative impact not only on the small FFLs across the country, but ultimately you as a citizen who supports your 2nd Amendment rights.
