In 1987, Florida passed the first concealed carry legislation that started a movement in the United States. Since then, almost every state except for California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island, have signed into law some provision, allowing citizens to carry handguns or other weapons more freely. This started with the now common “shall-issue” licensing model. The scheme permits citizens who are not prohibited by some other unconstitutional means, the pleasure to pay a convenience tax, jump through some hoops, and with a moderate level of infringement, be able to protect themselves and their loved ones from violent crime. With the exception of course, places still deemed too scary or inconvenient to allow. Citizens who have accepted this model across the country, are all too grateful to their legislative babysitters for turning this right into a privilege.

Wait, there’s more. In recent years, our masters have bestowed upon us “Constitutional Carry.”
 Well at least that means no more GUN FREE zones, right? Silly rabbit. OK, it’s not the breaking of the common-sense chains of 2A love we were hoping for, but at least everyone is doing it, yes?
