Every Day Samaritans

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."

   -Theodore Roosevelt.

July 17th, 2022, in Greenwood Indiana yet another act of violence is abated by an armed citizen. However immediately the media has attempted in altering the circumstances and results because the truth is in opposition to their narrative. As I report on this, the hero's identity is unknown, what is known is he is a wise 22-year-old that was legally armed. This brave young man stepped up and in to save innumerable lives, including an injured young lady of 12 years. NPR reports that the assailant entered the Greenwood Park Mall food court with a rifle and numerous magazines. This counters the gun control advocates claims on many levels, foremost is that an outgunned hero did indeed save the day.

Another heroine accomplished the same outcome in Charleston, West Virginia, May 25th, 2022. Another anonymous, legally armed citizen defender that the media has blatantly ignored. Think I'm wrong.... go ahead and "Snopes" The Dennis Butler Shooting. Butler had an "extensive" criminal history, his prior egregious offenses "went away" because of witness failure to appear. Nonetheless his apathetic arrogance and anger motivated him to retaliate violently after having been berated for endangering children while speeding in his vehicle earlier that day. Our Heroine witnessed Butler return to the scene brandishing a semiautomatic rifle, shot and killed him with her legally concealed handgun. Not only had our champion stopped a violent criminal, but she did it so well before any injuries occurred.

Gun Control Advocacies absolutely love attempting to dissuade citizens of the importance of Carry Compliance, always carrying your legal handgun everywhere. Control advocates are constantly supported by the media in their endeavors to refute Defensive Gun Uses or DGUs. Headlines reading, "good guy with a gun, an American Fantasy", "good guy with a gun, failing to stop mass shootings" and of course "Good Guy with a Gun-Myth" from Giffords. While Giffords has no problem manipulating statistical data in their favor (see Mass Hysteria), they claim "no credible statistical evidence exists to show that permissive concealed carry laws reduce crime." The FBI has statistical data on DGUs, and even the atrocious Gun Violence Archive reports on them as well. Giffords falsely states that "Gun-free Zones" aren't a contributing factor neither, knowing very well that most incidents have been perpetrated in such zones. Fear mongering is still more lucrative, for Gun Control advocates and the media alike.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost every major study on defensive gun use has found that Americans use their firearms defensively between 500,000 and 3 million times each year. The Heritage Foundation has a searchable database on DGUs, most recently updated June 21st, 2022. To that date there are a recorded 370 incidents in 2022, why aren't they constantly being reported by the media? According to Gun Violence Archive there has been 314 "mass shootings", a difference of 56 less, including the GVA's lack of definitive parameters. (See Mass Hysteria) To refute the narrative of Constitutional Carry equals more "gun violence", Albuquerque, New Mexico May 22nd, a DGU happened without a shot fired, where the burglar was held at gunpoint to await the authorities.

Situations like that clearly define the reasons why all the DGUs are not being reported. No shots fired, no injuries or fatalities. It is extremely advisable to report the wielding of your firearms in defensive situations, however it certainly does not happen consistently. Defensive Gun Uses are assuredly more common than Giffords and the like would ever admit. From thwarted domestic violence and home invasion to abated carjackings, rape, assault and burglary, and armed robbery more Armed Americans are fighting crime.

Here again, another anonymous Hero from Huston, Texas on July 5th, 2022, steps in to save his neighbor. While arguing with his mother after a 4th of July get-together, the assailant decided to shoot her. "The son stood over mom, shot her like three or four times, and that's when the good Samaritan took his shot and was able to strike the suspect," Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated. The sheriff's department thought they had arrived at a murder, suicide scene, when

our Samaritan responsibly admitted his defense. I commend him on his integrity and his bravery, that truly defines what a Good Samaritan is.

"Protecting yourself is Self-Defense. Protecting Others is Warriorship."
